Blackfriars has a team of dedicated and caring professionals who represent a diversity of cultures, training, skills and experience. Many of our staff members have been working at Blackfriars since its official opening in 1995.

Languages spoken in the centre include Mandarin, Cantonese, French, English, Indian, Spanish and Amharic.

The educational background of the staff ranges from Early Childhood teacher, TAFE qualified childcare workers and university graduates with overseas qualifications in higher education. The experience of working with children for individual staff ranges on average between 5-10 years experience in the field.

We work together to form a cohesive team who respect, value and share our knowledge and skills. There is ongoing consultation and collaboration of projects undertaken among the team with an emphasis on maintaining open communication. Because we value the contribution of each individual staff member to the welfare and education of children we have established a warm and caring environment where staff have maintained their enthusiasm and motivation to provide an interesting and varied learning environment for children.
